The project involves the energy-efficient, functional, and aesthetic upgrade of Metamorfoseos Square and its adjacent streets, introducing bioclimatic characteristics.
The intervention area covers 6.7 acres, with 2,200 m² occupied by the central square and 4,500 m² by the adjacent streets and sidewalks (Knossou, Korinthou, Thermopylon). The square extends into a larger, unified surface, incorporating green spaces with public seating and an upgraded playground. The seating areas of adjacent businesses are delineated, allowing the creation of a free lane for the unimpeded movement of emergency vehicles. The entire area is redesigned with modern accessibility infrastructure for people with disabilities.
