The project upgrades the 25th of March Square, located in the Meladeza area of the Municipal Community of Vari, to create a sustainable recreation space for citizens.
The previous appearance of the square, covering an area of approximately 6 acres, was a dirt field, with an abandoned poultry farm in the northern part and an olive grove in the south. Specifically, the following interventions are carried out: construction of green spaces with fitness equipment, tree planting around the square, installation of a green irrigation system, creation of a playground, construction of sunken green beds along the southern entrance of the square for the full utilization of rainwater, installation of lighting poles, construction of floor-level sculptural compositions, and the formation of a space for the future installation of a refreshment stand and cafeteria, preserving the existing olive grove.
